Why do you only carry Comics Books and Graphic Novels? Why not toys and posters and machetes?
Well, the simple answer would be that we are a comic book store, not a toy store. But that would be a lie. We'd actually love to carry all of those wonderful things. And in time we will. But for right now, we feel it is important to bring you your Comic Books and Graphic Novels perfectly. When we feel we can deliver these other items in a way that is affordable and efficient for you, then we will start to carry them.
Why dont I just get my comic books off of Amazon?
Because we are noble and pure of heart, and therefore we will always win? Oh yeah, and we discount all of our books all the time. And this, quite simply, is what we do. We make it easy to find out what is coming out each month, who wrote it, what it costs. Amazon doesn't do that. Is Amazon going to be wandering around at this year's Comic-con? We will. Does Amazon understand why it is you have to have all 7 colored Lantern rings? Sadly, we do. Has Amazon ever run computer simulations to determine who would win in a scissor fight between Geoff Johns and Brian Michael Bendis. You can bet your sister's prom dress that we have, skippy. And we are going to use every bit of this useless knowledge to make your shopping experience the best it can be. Now why wouldnt you shop with us?
What are Previews?
Previews is the industry name for the monthly publication and order form released by Diamond Comics, this universe's largest comic book and graphic novel distributor, listing all the items going on sale in two months. All the retailers use this list of make their orders for their store inventory. And since your local retailer just wont carry that issue of Archie meets Godzilla you have been waiting for, customers can also use Previews to let their retailers know to special order it. And since you are doing our marketing work for us, we discount all previews items by 20% right up until the month they ship.
